Yeast infection is also known as Candidiasis. It is mainly caused by yeast-like fungus called Candida Albicans. This fungus can be normally found in our body along with other microorganisms. They are also considered beneficial because they help keep other microorganisms from multiplying and also help us with digesting our food. The only problem is when the fungus grows out of proportion. This is when the infection starts.

There are so many factors causing the abnormal growth of the fungus. It may be that you are wearing tight clothes or you may have not changed immediately from your bathing suit after swimming. It is very important that during the infection, you must not engage in sexual intercourse. This disease can be sexually transmitted.
